meeting production

25/10/16
Tim and Natalie pitched our ideas again to our group and discussed their similarities and difference. We chose to use Tim’s original title, “We are London” and his idea of using music to tackle crime in young people. Tim suggested we have the show be an hour long, but Daniella has since informed us that our show must be 20 minutes long.

First day in the TV studio – We recorded an improvised fictional show called build or break

We spent the lesson discussing the format of our talk show episode and began to storyboard the action. We managed to complete the first 6 shots, with illustrations

production schedule meeting

Discussing the format of our talk show episode and story boarded the action on what's going to be on the show for the first six shots

We named the action and drew illustrations

We spent the whole lesson coming up with how we want it laid out

Day one in the TV studio

We spent one of our lessons in the tv studio, we had a recap of the tv studio going through the equipment. After we had a recap on what the equipment were we split in to teams and made a short multi cam production. One team was in charge of the control room, that's where the visual mixing took place. And another team was in the studio where they had to set up a quick show and rearranged the room. After we ran the test footage the teams swapped roles, so my team was now putting a quick show together while the other team was in the control room with the visual mixing.

Tom gave us an induction in to the control room as he showed us what we would be doing. Everybody had a roll in the control room, divided by 6 people, I was talking to the camera men making sure they knew what to do. I was the director.
